Product Story

This is the recumbent bicycle born from the rich cycling tradition of the Netherlands, renowned for its country-wide network of cycling paths that spans from Maastricht to Friesland. Hand made in Dronten in the Flevoland province of the Netherlands from customized anodized aluminum parts, it is solidly constructed and precisely balanced, having endured adventurous ascents up to Switzerland's famous Simplon Pass. Its enclosed drive train protects against the elements, allowing the 14-speed Rohloff hub gear system to provide effortless shifting for easy hill climbing or smooth coasting without the fouling of debris and grime. The breathable mesh-back adjustable seat can be raised to put you in a more upright riding position. The hydraulic rear shock provides a smooth ride for the bicycle's 20" wheels and rubber tires, while its front and rear disc brakes provide responsive braking. The underseat steering assembly enables you to be more centered and balanced while riding, and when you stop, you can place both feet firmly on the ground. Crank lengths are available in two sizes to suit your legs' length. (35 3/4 lbs.)
