The Queen's Handbag

This is the handbag carried by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her daily rounds. Made by Launer London Limited, holder of the Royal Warrant continuously since 1981, each handbag is crafted in the company's factory near Birmingham. Expert cutters select specially tanned box calf leather skins, cutting from only the finest areas. The bag is then painstakingly assembled by hand and sewn with all edges turned, meaning a raw edge is never exposed. The interior of the bag is lined in sumptuous soft suede, and all fittings--including the trademark Launer twisted rope emblem--are gold plated. Inspections at every stage of manufacturing ensure the handbag meets imperial standards. The regal yet understated "Kelly" style purse (so named to honor Grace Kelly, who would become Princess Grace of Monaco) has a single carrying handle, an adjustable, removable shoulder strap, and secures with a push up closure. 9" L x 8" H x 4" D.
