The Motion Mimicking Mechanoid

This is the robot that employs advanced motion detection technology to mimic its owner’s upper body gestures. The mechanoid uses a sophisticated microprocessor to drive servos built into its arms and feet which grant it realistic movement. A cradle in the mechanoid’s chest accepts an iPhone or Android phone (required), enabling the robot to “see” (via an app) with the iPhone’s camera, and allowing it to recognize and mimic hand, arm, shoulder, and head movements. An iPhone’s memory capacity determines how long the mechanoid’s uncanny mimicry continues. The mechanoid can also be taught to move and what to say by grasping his arms and head and moving them as desired while speaking to him when it is in “programming” mode; the robot will reproduce the exact sequence of movements and your voice. Comprised of over 100 durable plastic pieces. Its rechargeable battery provides up to one hour of operation from a two-hour charge using the included AC adapter. Assembly required.
