Offered exclusively by Hammacher Schlemmer, and from the renowned Lionel Train company, this five-piece O-scale "Lionel Lines Special" set has been one of the most popular editions of Lionel trains for over 80 years. The 4-4-2 steam locomotive has a precision can motor, headlight, metal wheels and axles, couplers, and a smokestack that puffs. Other cars include coal tender with a remotely activated steam whistle, a gondola with four tanks, a boxcar with opening doors, and a red caboose. Driven by a powerful 80 watt transformer, the train runs forward or reverse; the O-gauge track has realistically detailed ties and a raised ballast for extra stability. Locomotive is die-cast metal; other cars are plastic. Includes eight curved, four straight track pieces, and a tube of liquid smoke. Ages 8 and up. Plugs into AC. Train: 46 1/2" L.
