Hammacher Schlemmer Introduces The Rapid Photo Album Scanner
New York, NY, December 1, 2016 - Continuing its 168-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The Rapid Photo Album Scanner, a device with patented anti-glare technology that converts photographs into digital images without having to remove them from a mounted photo album.
The scanner rests on an album page, displays its subject on its built-in 2.4" TFT color LCD, and uses a 14 MP CMOS sensor to scan the photo in as a 700 dpi JPEG. The digital image can be stored on an SD card up to 32 GB (not included) or imported to a computer with the included USB cable.
"Photographs are memories," explained Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager Fred Berns. "This album scanner helps preserve those treasures by converting them into a digital format with ease."
The device also converts slides and 135 film negatives into digital images with 3200 dpi resolution using included trays. Accepts photographs up to 4" x 6". Plugs into AC with included adapter or can also be powered via a computer using its USB cable.
