Functioning as a typical ballpoint pen, a twist of its barrel reveals a Lightning or microUSB adapter on one end that plugs into a smartphone. Flipping off its cap on the other end reveals a USB plug that plugs into a computer.
"You can sign off on a delicate business matter," explained Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager Fred Berns. "And then use the pen to charge your phone for that next important call."
The pen also can charge iPads and has an integrated stylus that operates with tablets and smartphones.
