The Self-Watering Patio Planter

This is the patio planter that connects directly to a water source, eliminating the need to heft a watering can or drag a length of hose to keep plants hydrated. The planter uses a concealed flexible water tube¿one end attached to an outdoor faucet or sprinkler system, the other end threaded through its frame¿to enable unattended watering of plants in its 48" x 15" bed. A shredded coconut lining retains moisture while a separate drain hose channels excess water away to prevent plants from getting waterlogged. When used with a timer (sold below) a regular watering schedule can automatically be maintained when you are away. Made in the U.S. from 20 gauge sheet steel, the planter features a rust-resistant powder-coated finish, a sturdy solid shelf, and leg levelers that adjust for uneven terrain.
