RECALL OF GREENWORKS PRO 80v18" CHAINSAW

Sold by Hammacher, Schlemmer as "The Superior Rechargeable Chainsaw"; [Product # 12809]

The distributor of the chainsaw, Hongkong Sun Rise Trading, contacted the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC") about a potential safety issue found in some of the units where the chain brake guard in the cordless electric chainsaw can fail and allow the chainsaw to continue operating, posing an injury hazard to users.

IF YOU PURCHASED ONE OF THESE CHAINSAWS, YOU SHOULD TAKE THE FOLLOWING STEPS, according to the CPSC:

1) Immediately stop using the recalled chainsaw and contact Hongkong Sun Rise Trading for a free repair.

2) Hongkong Sun Rise Trading can be reached toll-free at 888-266-7096 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Friday through Sunday or online at www.greenworkstools.com (and click on "Important Safety Notice" at the bottom of their webpage for more information).

According to the CPSC, you do not need to return the cordless chainsaw but you must have the chainsaw repaired prior to using it again.
