This is the mahjong table that automatically shuffles, stacks, and elevates the game’s tiles, speeding play for a more enjoyable gaming experience. Retaining the game’s acoustic appeal—it is said the shuffling of the tiles evokes a soundscape of birds jockeying for position while snatching up food—the table has a circular control panel in its center that raises to reveal a repository into which tiles are pushed en masse. Beneath the table’s velvet surface resides a rotating drum that mixes the tiles until each is randomly diverted onto one of four ramps that deposits it into one of four rectangular tile assembly blocks. Built-in magnets within the tiles enable them to be smartly stacked onto the metal blocks, which elevate simultaneously through hidden apertures in the playing surface to appear perfectly arranged for play in front of each player.
