The 300 Lumens Mosquito Repelling Lantern

This is the outdoor lantern that produces 300 lumens of light and uses d-cis/trans allethrin, a repellent field-tested by the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and proven in tests conducted by eight leading entomologists to repel up to 96% of mosquitoes. The lantern uses a 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" mat saturated with permethrin—a synthetic repellent made from a naturally occurring insecticide found in chrysanthemum flowers—that rests on a metal grill on top of the lantern. A butane-fueled heater vaporizes the repellent to create a 225' sq. zone unbearable for mosquitoes and other biting insects. Eight LEDs inside the lantern produce an efficient glow for up to 50 hours with four light settings; may be used with/without mosquito repellant. Includes one butane cartridge and three mosquito repellent mats. Butane cartridge lasts up to 12 hours; each mat lasts up to four hours. Requires four D batteries. 10" H x 5" W x 4" D. (13 oz.)
