The Only Previewing Full Page Portable Scanner

This is the only portable scanner that accepts full-page documents and photographs and provides a preview of images on a built-in 2.4" color LCD before saving them to digital format. Exclusive to Hammacher Schlemmer, it is sized for optimal portability, taking up a foot of space wherever it is used, unlike flatbed scanners that require dedicated counterspace. The device accepts face-down up to full 8 1/2" x 11" documents and photographs (and as small as 3" x 5"), scanning them at up to 300 dpi resolution; the LCD provides 480 x 234 pixel resolution. A document or photograph is quickly converted into an individual, high-quality JPEG digital picture file which is saved onto a preferred memory card. The converter accepts SD and MMC memory card formats (up to 32 GB )--a 4 GB SD card (sold below) stores up to 875 images. Once stored onto a memory card, digital images can be transferred using the included mini-USB cable to a PC running Windows 7, Vista, or XP, or to a Mac for additional editing as desired; includes software to convert scans into Excel, Word, or PDF documents.
