These are the crescent shaped earrings inspired by the classic design beloved throughout antiquity since about 2500 B.C. The unique “boat-shape” earring is characterized by an elongated tapered hoop where the bottom half expands into a large crescent shape. The hoop design has a long history throughout the ancient world including being worn by royalty such as Egyptian pharaohs, empresses, and figures such as Nefertiti and Cleopatra.
