The Best Electric Grill reached an average of 617.2º F--259.6º F hotter than a competing model--leading to perfectly seared steaks. The Best model's temperature varied only 5º F across the cooking surface, unlike lesser grills that recorded a variance of up to 126.6º F. A chef tested the grills and The Best Electric Grill cooked hamburgers and chicken breasts that the chef described as "moist with a true grilled flavor." The Best model was the only grill that allowed users to input the type of food being grilled, its thickness, and the preferred internal temperature using the LED screen. Based on this information, the grill automatically chimes when it has reached the ideal cooking temperature, when it's time to flip the food, and when cooking is complete.
