The Children's Electric Go Cart

This is the electric go cart that uses a 350-watt motor to safely propel children over sidewalks, driveways, grass, and dirt without the noise and odor of a gasoline-powered engine. Mounted behind the rider's seat, the enclosed variable speed motor generates enough torque to propel riders up to 120 lbs. at a top speed of 9 mph, yet the cart's low center of gravity provides the same ground-hugging experience derived from more powerful racing carts. The powder-coated, tubular steel frame keeps its integrity after thousands of tight turns, the rear shock absorbs bumps, and the rear disc brake provides sure stops. The throttle control and the brake lever are mounted to the handle bars for easy access. The knobby, pneumatic 8" tires grip surfaces. Its two sealed 12-volt lead-acid batteries provide up to 40 minutes of operation from an 8-hour charge from the included AC adapter; the batteries are rated for up to 250 charge cycles.
