Product Story

Employing dual-frequency technology, the phone transmits at 2.4 GHz from the recharging base and 900 MHz from the handset for increased range and clarity. Dual antennas (one on the base, one on the handset) allow simultaneous transmission and reception, providing virtual elimination of the echo and delay commonly found in other digital cordless phones. Spread Spectrum Technology (SST) guards against eavesdropping and transmits signals over multiple frequencies per second to further increase range and power. The handset operates at up to eight times the distance of a standard, single-frequency, 900 MHz analog phone. The built-in digital answering machine stores up to fifteen minutes of messages, and includes a date/time stamp on each message. Individual messages may be saved or deleted independently of one another, and both outgoing and incoming messages may be administered remotely from any touch-tone phone. Integral speakerphone ability also utilizes digital circuitry to reduce echo, audio clipping and background noise for clearer conversations. The recharging base has built-in caller ID circuitry that allows storage of up to fifty names and numbers of most recently reviewed calls.* Caller ID information appears clearly on the recharging base's LCD display window. The phone has a programmable directory that stores up to thirty names/numbers, and the keypad is backlit for nighttime or low-light visibility. The base plugs into a standard AC outlet via a six-foot cord, while the handset operates on a rechargeable nickel-metal hydride battery (included). Instructions included. Metallic black and titanium silver. 3" H x 6 1/2" W x 7 1/2" L. (2.7 lbs.)
