The Desktop Evaporative Cooling Fan

This desktop fan counters hot, dry weather with a micro-fine mist that evaporates instantly, cooling a room without making it feel clammy. The fan circulates water to a dual-nozzle misting head, then gently mists the surrounding area, reducing the air temperature in a 200' sq. room by as much as 15º F. While the compact unit delivers the cooling power of a 2,000 BTU air conditioner, it consumes less energy than a 100-watt light bulb. A control knob lets you adjust the amount of mist. The fan has two speeds, oscillates 74º, and can be set to run for one, two, or three hours.
