This is the device that converts videos and images from your digital camcorder or digital camera directly to a DVD for playback on a DVD player, unlike other complex units that require you to first download content to a PC and configure conversion software. Video is converted to the MPEG-2 standard DVD format at 6X speed and will span two or more DVDs if required, depending upon the length of the video. Once videos have been burned to a DVD, they can be previewed on the unit's 2 1/2" LCD. It is also capable of converting digital video from a DVR and analog video from VCRs using an RCA cable, allowing you to convert older home videos. It supports five different camera memory card types, including MemoryStick, MemoryStick Pro Duo, SecureDigital, Compact Flash, or xD Picture Card formats, allowing you to plug them directly into the device and create slideshows of up to 2,000 images on the burned DVD.
