Only available from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the sterling silver pendant engraved with any surname and its corresponding coat of arms. Historically used to identify medieval knights in battle, these armorial bearings have more recently depicted a family trade or heritage, and 95% of last names can be linked to an image. Once the desired name is supplied, the jeweler searches international heraldry databases to locate the appropriate crest or works with the customer to determine a suitable symbol, whether it’s a traditional flag or pair of lions, or a favorite sports team’s logo for a more contemporary touch. Customers approve the final artwork before the pendant is made.
