Product Story
Only available from Hammacher Schlemmer, these are the linens used at five-star hotels and finished with traditional Irish five-row cord stitching. Cord stitching first became popular in Ireland in 1870 as a way for chambermaids to differentiate quality among the various linens; five rows signified the highest quality. Made from 100% long staple cotton chosen for their exceptionally fine fibers, the sheets have a 400-thread count and the detailed rows are sewn by hand at 28 stitches per inch. The sheets are woven by Reed Family Linen, crafters of luxury bedding since 1852 and suppliers to Royal households throughout Europe. White.
