Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the classic Fair Isle sweater knit with pure Shetland wool in a windswept northern corner of Scotland. The familiar geometric pattern has been a favorite of the royals for a century, after originating as a design for hats and sweaters to keep fishermen snug while out at sea. The sweaters are prized for their comfort and heat retention without excessive bulk, thanks to the fine fiber quality of the wool. From Jamieson’s, a family-owned company specializing in Shetland wool for five generations, located since the 1890s in a small Shetland town adjacent to the Atlantic coast. Gray or Blue.
