This is the handmade belt with an exterior of 100% genuine stingray skin, the same durable material used for centuries for its beauty, and is considered by many to be the toughest leather in the world. Used to wrap the hilts of Japanese swords and to decorate the tombs of Egypt's ancient pharaohs, the strength and resiliency of stingray skin ensures the belt will withstand the daily stresses of wear, ensuring years of reliable use without fading, cracking, or fraying. Stingray skin is naturally moisture-resistant without the need for special cleaning techniques or preservative treatments. The exterior of the belt is decorated with a double-diamond "crown" named for the center of the dorsal skin near to where the ray's barb extruded, but has been sanded smooth during the tanning process.
