The Hand Crank Locomotive Shoe

Like a Mother Goose nursery rhyme come to life, this is the hand crank-powered rail ride with cars shaped like giant sneakers. Reminiscent of "Hodges Hand Cars" encountered at carnivals and fairs in the 1940s, the prodigious footwear is propelled around an outdoor track by a child's simple pushing and pulling on a hand-crank. Minimal effort is required of children as they crank, so each train glides easily on precision-crafted, cast-iron wheels with a familiar "click-clack" sound as they go 'round the track. Two red locomotives are molded from gel coated fiberglass--the same durable material used to make speedboats--with a tubular steel base and nylon crank handles, and each supports a single child up to 100 lbs. The 30' diam. 12-gauge circular track is made of welded cold-rolled steel, and sets up in 15 minutes with the included fasteners and wrenches. Meets ASTM safety standards.
