This is the boatswain’s call made by a London-based company that have supplied navies around the world, including Her Majesty’s United Kingdom Royal Navy since 1973. Recalling the days of sail when orders aboard ship were delivered via a high-pitched whistle—also known as a “bosun’s call”— it was historically used to issue commands to a crew when high winds made it impossible to hear the human voice. Made from nickel-plated brass, the call is played by opening and closing the hand over the top hole to change the pitch, allowing you to practice plain, warble, and trill tones. Includes 50" neckchain. 4 3/4” L.
