The Indoor Reconnaissance Helicopter

This is the remote controlled helicopter that reconnoiters an indoor area with a built-in video camera. Located beneath the craft and oriented at a fixed 20º angle, the pinhole camera captures 640 x 480 resolution AVI videos. The included infrared remote controls both the helicopter and the camera from up to 30' away, turning the camera on/off with a button. Videos are saved onto an included 1 GB microSD card that stores up to 30 minutes of video, easily copied to a computer for viewing using the included microSD-to-USB adapter. Its horizontal tail rotor works with its two contra-rotating coaxial main rotors to keep the helicopter balanced during up/down, left/right, forward/backward flight. Its rechargeable battery provides seven-minute flight times from a 40-minute charge using either the remote or a computer using the included USB charging cable. Requires six AA batteries.
