The Istanbul Bag

This is the travel bag handmade with handcut Turkish leather from the oldest tannery in Istanbul, renowned supplier of fine leather goods since 1917. Artisans carefully select choice leather that is semi-vegetable tanned, a process that ensures long life of the rich cognac brown color, and then hand-stamped with a crocodile skin design to enhance the supple material's texture. All pieces are then hand-stitched to ensure the highest quality stitching available, and unlike other bags that are lined with satin or cloth, this one is lined with durable pigskin suede to withstand a lifetime of packing and unpacking and the rigors of travel without tearing, fraying, or wearing thin. The zipper is metal and the hardware is antique brass, and the spacious main compartment has three side pockets to separate travel essentials. The separate front compartment has a small zippered pouch for secure transport of little items, and it also has a snap pocket.
