Product Story
This is the lamp that transforms electromagnetism into light to create a balanced symmetry that compels curiosity. In its off state, a wooden ball attached to a tether rests on the bottom of the lamp’s beechwood oval while a second suspends from the oval’s inner apex. When the lower ball is grasped and lifted to reach—but not touch—the upper ball, magnets concealed within each complete an electrical circuit that turns the lamp’s array of LEDs on. Ever reaching yet never touching, the two balls’ magnets keep their respective tethers taut; grasping the lower ball and pulling downward turns the lamp off again. The lamp stands 15 3/4" tall, is 7 3/4" wide, and 2 3/4" deep. (1 1/4 lbs.)
