Product Story
This Scottish sweater is made from only the finest, softest underhairs of the Mongolian camel. Unlike camels that inhabit the desert, Mongolian camels are adapted to the cold climate, so their hair is thicker and has superior thermal properties. The soft, yet strong hairs are twisted into two-ply yarns. The yarns are sent to the William Lockie Company (established in 1874), where each sweater piece is knit and hand assembled by skilled craftsmen. Because the sweater is not dyed, its natural light color and soft feel are maintained (dyeing actually causes the hair texture to become more brittle and lose some of its softness). The sweater's relaxed cardigan style has a shawl collar, five leather button front and two patch pockets. Dry clean. Men's size M (42-44).
