This is the desktop or under-desk heater that turns off automatically when no movement is detected, keeping a personal work area warm without worry. Unlike conventional space heaters that at best waste energy when accidentally left on and at worst may pose a fire hazard, this model switches to standby after 30 minutes and turns off completely two hours after its motion sensor detects that a user has departed. Using 40% less energy than standard 1,500-watt heaters, its 400- and 800-watt settings warm the immediate area while reducing the risk of blowing a circuit.
