Product Story

This musical egg is reminiscent of the eggs crafted by Peter Carl Fabergé from 1885-1917, and plays The Nutcracker Suite March from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite on an 18-note, key-wound musical movement. Hidden inside the egg is a handpainted pewter nutcracker centerpiece (non-rotating). The egg is crafted of lustrous, triple-fired porcelain decorated with details including raised relief, 22 karat gold accents, and 100 hand-set faux jewels and Swarovski crystals. The base of the egg has an artwork panorama in the Russian Palekh black-lacquer technique by Master Natalia Zaitseva and depicts Herr Drosselmeyer revealing the Nutcracker to Clara for the first time. Each egg is numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity. 6 1/2" H x 3" W. (11 oz.)
