With a high-speed CMOS sensor, the 16 megapixel camera also is the only point-and-shoot model to correct for pitch, yaw, and roll, so even in low-light conditions it takes crisp still shots without blur. The starlight setting combines multiple images to create streak-free photos at night, and the 48X digital zoom takes extreme close-ups without sacrificing image quality. The camera also has 24X optical zoom (25-600mm equivalent), a 25mm wide-angle lens, and a quick-response auto-focus for capturing moving targets such as kids and pets. Able to record both stills and movies at once, the camera shoots 120 frames-per-second high-speed video with high-def audio and slow-motion playback, and in advanced movie mode it lets cinematographers set their desired frame rate and white balance.
