The Only Widescreen HD Camcorder

This is the only high-definition camcorder with a widescreen display. Unlike standard camcorder displays that use 4:3 aspect ratio, this one uses a 16:9 ratio--the same used in high definition televisions--for viewing videos during and after recording. The 3 1/2" TFT display swivels perpendicular to the camcorder during video capture, providing vibrant, crisp HD video during playback. The camcorder's image sensor captures video in 1080p high-definition resolution at 30 frames-per-second and still images at 5 MP. Videos are saved in H.264 format and images are saved as JPEGs; a 4GB SD card (sold below) will store up to one hour of 1080p video and 1,600 5 MP images (supports up to 32 GB SD cards). Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to four hours of operation from a eight-hour recharge using the included AC adapter. It can connect to an HD television using an HDMI cable (required) or the included RCA cable. It downloads content to a computer using the included USB 2.0 cable.
