This is the 2022 gold quarter sovereign coin that celebrates Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee and her 70 remarkable years of service to the Realm and the Commonwealth. Approved by Buckingham Palace, this Proof Condition coin measures 14mm in diameter (smaller than a U.S. dime) and contains two grams of pure 22K gold. The obverse depicts the Queen's portrait during her Platinum Jubilee in 2022 and the official issuing country of Ascension Island. The reverse shows Princess Elizabeth prior to her coronation in 1953 wearing a laurel crown, the Latin inscription "DEI GRA REG FLD DEF" meaning "By the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith", and the dates 1952 and 2022.
