In tests by The Hammacher Schlemmer Institute, the mittens reached 135º F in just three minutes to provide immediate relief from the cold. Created exclusively by Hammacher Schlemmer, the mittens owe their superior performance to proprietary alloy heating elements woven in the palm and fingers. After warmup, you can switch to one of two lower temperature settings for comfortable extended wear. Institute analysts found that each mitten's lightweight, removable 2600mAh Li-ion battery provides up to 2 1/2 hours of heat on its medium temperature setting and up to 7 hours on low. The batteries recharge in 4 1/2 hours with the included AC adapter.
