The Swim Stroke Recognizing Performance Monitor

This wrist-worn monitor employs advanced motion sensing technology to automatically detect when a swimmer changes strokes, unlike other devices that must be reset manually. Developed in conjunction with professional swimmers as well as recreational athletes, the monitor's integrated accelerometer, magnetometer, and proprietary algorithms distinguish between breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly, and backstroke. The device automatically records the number of laps swum using each stroke, total distance, calories burned, lap time, pace, and stroke count. It stores results for up to 14 workouts that can be viewed on its high-resolution LCD panel or uploaded to a computer via USB to the manufacturer's online training log.
