This is the portable device capable of translating 12,000 phrases and 450,000 words into any one of 12 languages, spoken in your language of choice. At the touch of a button you can access translations for pre-programmed phrases in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Korean. A QWERTY keyboard slides out from beneath the screen for word entry, and allows for Pinyin, Romaji, and Hangul input methods for Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean. You can enter European languages phonetically and the translator will correctly spell the words before translating them into a desired target language. The backlit LCD shows the word or phrase, pronunciation, and script for non-Latin alphabets. Converts eight currencies and calculates between metric and imperial. Its USB port allows you to connect it to a computer for language upgrades, and also has 86MB of memory for playback of MP3s and voice recordings.
