Product Story
Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the flatware chest that preserves silverware's luster by absorbing impurities in the air that cause tarnishing. The fabric lining the interior of the chest is specially treated to attract and trap airborne oxidizing agents before they can react with silver and dull its finish. The fabric retains its tarnish-fighting properties for years and its flannel-like finish prevents flatware from getting scratched. The cabinet has nine spreaders and a hinged lid that organize a service for 12, while a removable bottom drawer stores serving pieces. The chest is hand crafted from 3/8"-thick engineered wood with a cherry-finished birch veneer and antique-brass finished hardware. 5 1/4" H x 15" W x 11 3/8" D. (8 lbs.)
