Product Story
These are the genuine French wool slippers based on the original versions created in the XVII century. Known as “charentaise” after the region in France where they were designed, the slippers were worn by French valets and domestic servants to quietly move about a castle or dwelling while simultaneously helping to polish wooden floors. The slippers help trap heat while allowing moisture to escape, ensuring feet are equally comfortable on a chilly mountain night as on a balmy summer day. With an interior made of 50% wool/35% cotton/15% other fibers and a 100% PVC coated sole. Imported. Navy. EU sizes 36-47 fits US women’s sizes 6-11; US men's sizes 8-12; sizes run small, order next size up.
