Unlike traditional under-cabinet audio systems that are equipped only with a radio or CD player, this unit also houses any docking iPod, letting the user enjoy their digital music collection in the kitchen as they dine, prepare meals, or clean. The built-in folding dock charges and plays your iPod, and the unit includes a separate input for the iPod Shuffle, while the easy-to-read oversized, backlit LCD displays song information, such as artist and title. The radio receives FM1, FM2, TV and weather-system audio; four pre-sets are available for each band. The compact Reson8 speakers produce crisp, full audio that is clear and distortion-free. The unit also includes a built-in co oking timer and clock. A handheld remote unit controls both radio and iPod functions, and a battery back-up maintains clock settings in the event of a power loss.
