Product Story
Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the emergency LED light bulb that automatically lights up during a power outage. As soon as power is lost, it automatically activates its 5-watt natural daylight LED—comparable to a 20-watt incandescent—to provide up to eight hours of uninterrupted light for changing a fuse, calling an electrician, or passing the time with a game of cards. An integrated photocell detects ambient light and prevents the bulb from turning on during the daytime or when power is restored. Powered by a built-in rechargeable battery, the bulb automatically recharges via the lamp socket once power is restored. LED rated for 20,000 hours of usage 5 1/2" L x 2 3/4" Diam. (4 oz.)
