This is the only portable GPS (Global Positioning System) capable of automated voice prompts. The unit has auto routing that provides turn-by-turn navigation throughout the United States, and voice prompts alert the driver to turns, distances and course deviations. Built-in map shows interstates, exits, highways, rivers, lakes, airports, coastlines, and state/country boundaries throughout the U. S. It is simply placed on the dashboard with a non-skid mount (included) or stores in the glove compartment. With high-contrast 16-color LCD screen, plus three-level backlighting. The 12-channel GPS receiver tracks and uses up to 12 satellites for precise, reliable operation. Stores 500 waypoints (a location on the screen defined by latitude and longitude) and 50 reversible routes with up to 30 waypoints each. Includes MapSource City Navigator CD ROM, 128 MB data card, USB Programmer, non-skid dash mount, external speaker with 12-volt adapter cable and one US or Canadian Detailed Coverage Areas.
