Product Story
This is the weatherproof driving cap made of waxed cotton, a fabric that has protected England¿s country gentlemen in climates ranging from the maritime to the subarctic for over a century. Selected by those who prefer expertly tailored inclement weather clothing, the cap is made by Royal Warrant holder J. Barbour & Sons of South Shields, the 100 year-old purveyors of rugged English outerwear. The cap's 6-oz. Sylkoil exterior protects against water and it is lined with cotton. The seams are all double-rolled and stitched through two layers of fabric using waxed thread for durability and increased weather resistance. Imported. Olive. Size 7 3/8. (6 oz.)
To get the proper fit in a hat, we recommend that you measure your head to determine your proper size according to the standard hat sizing chart shown below.
- Use a good quality tape measure, such as those used for sewing, to achieve the most accurate measurement.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your head. The tape should be placed where you want the hat to rest, usually 1/8-inch to 1/2-inch above the top of your ears. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, the bottom of the tape should touch your eyebrows while positioned straight around your head. Don't pull the tape too snugly or your hat will fit that tightly.
- Once you've positioned the tape exactly where you want it, measure to the nearest one-eighth inch, or three millimeters.
- Measure your head a second and third time to ensure accuracy.
