A monthly subscription provides unlimited downloads, or songs can be purchased individually, and both options allow you to search an online music store by artist, track, album or genre for songs from all major record labels and 25,000 independent labels. Once the device receives a wireless signal it automatically downloads the selected tracks. The MP3 player also allows the sharing of purchased songs and playlists among a community of fellow subscribers. The 2", 220 x 176 color LCD screen and the side-scrolling feature promote quick navigation of menus, and the rechargeable battery has a 10-hour life before recharging is necessary. The line-out port connects to stereos and speaker systems. The MP3 players has an internal FM radio tuner and an 8 GB hard drive that stores 2,000 songs.
