It beeps over the coin. Then a second, handheld detector shows exactly where in the hole that coin is hiding. That clever pairing turns a long, frustrating dig into a short, satisfying one.
The main detector offers All Metal and Discriminate modes, adjustable sensitivity, and automatic ground balance, and its depth indicator hints at how far down a target sits. It can sense a U.S. quarter about 6.3" deep. The 7.4" search coil is weather sealed and works in shallow water, so creek edges and shallow shorelines are fair game. Once you’ve dug in, the handheld pinpointer detects in a full 360° circle and signals with a light and vibration.
Even the shovel has been thought through. Made with no metal, it won’t fool either detector, and a ruler built into the spade measures each discovery in inches and centimeters. Adjust the stem and armrest to fit, plug in headphones if you like, and the next afternoon outdoors has a purpose.
