Run your hand up one of these stems and you’ll be reaching for a while. Grand white tulips stand 28 to 36 inches tall with radiant, egg-shaped blooms on top, long enough to stand alone in a tall vase.
Get them in the ground in autumn, in a sunny or lightly shaded spot with good drainage; they’re rated for zones 3 through 8. Come mid spring, cut a handful, strip the lower leaves and arrange them just as they are. Crisp white goes with every room in the house.
They return stronger with each season, so the bouquets keep coming. Start with 6 for a few statement stems, or take 15 plus a planting tool so the garden and the vase stay stocked together.
