For generations, the daffodil in most gardens was the familiar single trumpet. White Lion takes that old favorite somewhere new: a double bloom with pristine petals and a ruffled center where sunny yellow and frilled white twist together.
The result has real texture and depth, plus a generous fragrance you’ll notice when you lean in. Stems reach 18 to 20 inches in mid spring, and the bulbs resist deer and naturalize easily, which suits them to woodland edges as well as tidy borders. Plant them about 6 inches deep, a hand’s width apart, in fall, in well-drained soil and full to partial sun; daffodils dislike soggy ground.
They’re hardy in zones 3 through 8. Ten bulbs are a handsome start, and the 20-bulb pack adds a planting tool. The dependable daffodil, it seems, still had a new chapter left in it.
