Ask anyone who styles mantels for a living and they’ll tell you lanterns look best in a group, with a little variety in height. One on its own can look a bit lost. Three in a stagger look like they were always meant to be there.

They come in 25", 22" and 18" inch heights, each just 11 inches long and 6 inches deep, so they’ll fit on a narrow console or a stair landing without crowding it. Glass runs along three sides, and the fourth is a glass door on a hinge, so you can see straight through to a candle, real or flameless, along with any greenery or ornaments you’d like to tuck around it.
