Snowflakes on the tree once began as a schoolroom project: a square of white paper folded into quarters, snipped with blunt scissors, then opened to see what had happened. They were hung with great pride and, by the following December, usually crumpled beyond saving.
This set keeps the charm and leaves the fragility behind. Each of the six ornaments is handcrafted around a gold wire frame that holds glossy beads in a snowflake pattern, and the set comes in an assortment of colors, so variety spreads across the branches. At 5 inches, each one is large enough to notice from across the room.
Hang them on the tree, along a garland, or in a window where the beads can catch the light. Come January, they go back in the box with the rest of the collection, ready for many more winters than their paper ancestors ever saw.
