In 1963’s From Russia with Love, James Bond carried an attaché case that looked perfectly ordinary until circumstances called for something more. Equipped with hidden weapons and other ingenious devices courtesy of Q Branch, it was the sort of accessory that made international intrigue seem like a real career choice. Two years later, toy manufacturer Multiple Toymakers introduced its own version, giving an entire generation of Bond fans a chance to conduct secret missions without leaving the neighborhood.
This faithful re-creation of the 1965 toy is made using the original molds, preserving a coveted piece of Bond memorabilia for a new generation of collectors. The black simulated leather case has gold-tone hardware, functional combination locks bearing the 007 dagger insignia, and a red flocked interior inspired by the movie prop. Inside is an assortment of espionage accessories, including a secret-message coding device, a booby-trapped code book, international currency, a miniature movie viewer, and a pen that reveals invisible writing using ultraviolet light.
Updated to modern manufacturing and safety standards, the case replaces the original toy gun and ammunition with movie-inspired accessories, including simulated gold coins. Each example is individually numbered and accompanied by a matching certificate of authenticity suitable for framing. It’s a remarkable survivor from the heyday of Bond mania, when the world’s most famous secret agent was also doing brisk business in the toy aisle.
