Somewhere along the way, people decided precious metals belonged on watches and picture frames and nowhere near a patch of dirt. This mini bike politely disagrees. Its frame and rims carry a radiant golden finish, and it arrives with a limited-edition certificate, a collectible metal tag, and a custom dust cover for the days it spends parked in the garage.
Under the gleam is a 99cc four-stroke engine with a pull start and an automatic transmission, so the rider can concentrate on the ride instead of a clutch lever. Because it’s a four-stroke, there’s no oil-and-gas mixing; it runs on ordinary 87-octane, ethanol-free gasoline. Its 14.5-inch off-road tires and steel frame take grass, dirt, and sandy paths in stride.
The manufacturer recommends it for riders 13 and up, and it’s meant for open land and dirt paths, not paved streets. It comes largely pre-assembled with a tool kit, and the full vehicle is EPA approved. Gold, it turns out, looks even better with a little dust on it.
