A bare corner of the entry looks especially bare in December, and building an arrangement from scratch takes time, florist’s wire and a good deal of trial and error.
This 28-inch urn comes finished. Varied greenery fills a green urn, seven pinecones add texture, and 60 warm white LED lights run on batteries, so it can glow far from the nearest outlet.
Place it by the front door, beside the fireplace or at the end of a sideboard. There’s nothing to water and nothing to rearrange, and next year it comes out of storage looking just as it did. Battery power also means it can move from the hall to the dining room as the season’s gatherings shift.
